The existing pouch packaging limited space for storytelling and lacked strong shelf impact. With many competitors using bold visuals and structured layouts, Sidekicks risked blending in. The challenge was to modernize the look, improve clarity, and strengthen the product’s emotional connection with consumers, all while keeping it recognizable as part of the Knorr family.

Strategy
The redesign shifted from pouch to box format, creating room for clearer visuals and communication. A bold, top-down food image served as the visual bullseye, supported by flavour-specific colour coding for easy navigation. Unified typography and basil illustrations tied the range together, while a clear hierarchy emphasized brand, sub-brand, and flavour. A back panel “Our Promise” was added to deepen consumer trust through brand storytelling.
